Lewis Donald's culinary journey is a testament to the transformative power of

mentorship, a love for food, and the indelible influence of familial wisdom. Born and raised in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio, Donald's earliest memories are intertwined with the earthy aroma of freshly tilled soil and the tender care his grandfather, Ray, bestowed upon his garden. It was here, amidst the rows of vegetables, that a young Donald found solace and purpose.

With each tenderly smoked brisket and meticulously seasoned rack of ribs, Donald

strives to evoke the same sense of warmth and belonging that he experienced in his grandfather's garden. For him, the best food isn't just about flavor; it's about creating moments that make you feel right at home. In Sweet Lew's, Donald has found not only a culinary canvas but a platform to share his passion for barbecue and the enduring values of family, community, and belonging.
