Guest Services and Rooms Manager

Goodstone Inn & Restaurant is seeking  a Guest Services and Rooms Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience in guest services and housekeeping. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of guest services and housekeeping departments and is responsible for providing all guests with quality service while maximizing room revenue and productivity.

Essential Qualities:

  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to think creatively and work within the full spectrum of all that is involved to ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Be passionate about providing an outstanding guest experience and training staff to do the same.
  • Be an effective team player.
  • Flexible work schedule to include weekends, evenings and holidays.

Key Objectives:

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the team, including hiring, training, motivating and assisting with fair, consistent and corrective action.
  • Coordinating the organization and administrative functions in all areas of the guest services and housekeeping departments, ensuring total compliance with standards of operation.
  • Ensure that staff is maintained at appropriate level to match business demand.
  • Work alongside team as necessary to ensure Goodstone standards are met.
  • Ensure excellent lines of communication remain open throughout the team and with all departments.
  • Ensure all questions and complaints are dealt with accordingly and exceed guest expectations along the way.
  • Responsible for scheduling and evaluating performance of team.
  • Effective management of set budgets.

Catering Sales Manager

The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for soliciting Goodstone Inn & Restaurant as the ideal setting for meetings, social events and weddings.

Essential Qualities:

  • Must have a minimum of three years of sales experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to think creatively and work within the full spectrum of all that is involved to ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Proactive team player.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing a plus.
  • Flexible work schedule to include weekends, evenings and holidays.

Key Objectives:

  • Responsible for all aspects of conference and catering sales, including rooms and special events.
  • Makes recommendations to clients based on type and purpose of function.
  • Coordinates arrangements with the Executive Chef and Sommelier.
  • Ensure excellent lines of communication remain open throughout the sales team and with all other departments.
  • Aggressively find and pursue opportunities for business by customer solicitation, follow up on leads, relationship building and historical contacts.
  • Correspond with potential clients, providing immediate requested information, proposals, confirmations and follow-up correspondence
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales department functions

Housekeepers

Goodstone seeks candidates with a strong background in housekeeping, with an emphasis on attention to detail and cleanliness. Competitive pay in an excellent work environment.

Housekeeper Requirements: Inn and/or hotel experience with a keen eye to cleanliness; detail oriented; excellent work ethic; flexible schedule that includes morning and evening shifts, both weekday and weekends; support team to reach common goals; completed background check required.

Line Cook

Goodstone Inn & Restaurant is seeking a reliable, experienced and energetic individual who shares our passion for excellence.

Essential Qualities: Fine dining experience; strong organizational skills; sense of urgency; passionate work ethic; positive demeanor; reliability; flexible schedule to include morning and evening shifts both weekdays and weekends; support team to reach common goals.

Duties include but not limited to: Able to do repetitive work; able to prepare food according to guidelines; knowledge of cooking procedures; able to communicate with Prep Cooks and Wait Staff; able to work all shifts and holidays; arrive 15 minutes prior to assigned shift; follow opening and closing procedures; able to work in a high-pace and hot environment; able to multitask; stand and walk for long periods of time; report to managers when something is broken or needs repair; keep a clean, stocked and tidy workspace; be able to self-motivate in work environment; able to follow written or verbal instructions.
