The Manor House Reserve Now | Virginia Inn

Whether you come to Goodstone for pleasure or business, or a bit of both, the Manor House will make you feel exceptionally welcome. Built by financier Frederick Warburg in 1943, the house features one suite and three bedrooms, all with private baths. On the ground floor, you’ll find a large kitchen with butler’s pantry, an elegant living room with wood-burning fireplace and Steinway baby-grand piano.

The large dining room, also with a wood-burning fireplace, features a striking wrap-around Zuber wall mural. Stunning details such as inlaid, hand-carved woodwork and handsome crown molding and chair railings create a rich ambience. An octagonal parlor room with card table has a hidden door leading to the Stuart Suite. A private terrace and sun lounge overlook the gorgeous views of the rolling pastures and the Catoctin Mountains in the distance. No matter what time of year you visit Goodstone, the view of horses grazing in the meadows and abundant native Virginia wildlife foraging in the woodlands will soothe and restore you.
